Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) Reporting Services

The Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986, Section 313, Title III (modified by the Pollution Prevention Act of 1990), requires facilities within certain SIC Codes and which employ 10 or more persons full time, to report releases/off-site transfers of certain chemicals. This is referred to as the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has promulgated regulations (40 CFR Part 372) that require reportable releases and transfers of more than 600 chemicals and chemical categories to be recorded on a Form R. Form Rs must be submitted by July 1 of each year to the U.S. EPA and to the designated state environmental agency.
