New Source Review Services

New Source Review ServicesDo you need to know whether a new facility or change to an existing facility is subject to the NSR permit program? Plans for a new facility or changes to an existing facility are often associated with compressed construction and start-up schedules. VEI’s air quality management team routinely determines the applicability of federal and/or state NSR permitting and can assist with strategy development regarding cost effective and timely methods to obtain permit approval. Our experience with the key elements of NSR for major sources (i.e., impact analyses, best available control technology determinations and lowest achievable emission rate demonstrations) allows us to respond quickly to schedules that can be impacted by the complex NSR process.

VEI’s experience encompasses other related matters such as Standards of Performance for New Stationary Sources (NSPS) applicability determinations, National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) and case by case maximum achievable control technology (MACT) reviews under 112 (g). VEI’s staff are highly effective in negotiating with permitting authorities to provide an outcome that is in the best interest of our client’s business, despite the complex regulatory environment.
