Greenhouse Gases (GHGs) Services

Over the past few years the focus on global climate change has become increasingly relevant to governmental entities, utilities and corporations. Recent international and U.S. policies have been focused on reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in the near future. As a result, a number of GHG reporting programs exist, including governmental programs at the state and federal level, non-governmental programs, international initiatives, and foreign national and regional programs.

VEI assists clients in developing a thorough understanding of the various policies and also can help identify and manage GHG emissions in order to comply with regional, national, or international GHG policies. Development of an initial GHG inventory by VEI is essential to effectively respond to future mandates or policies affecting GHG emissions. A GHG inventory can also help identify potential GHG risks and reduction opportunities. VEI is also available to evaluate potential emission credit trading opportunities under the various regional, national and global programs.

Current GHG programs such as the USEPA’s “Climate Leaders” Program, the DOE’s Section 1605b Program and numerous state registries exist to promote reporting, registering, and trading of GHG emissions and reductions. VEI’s experience with GHG reporting is available to help position our clientele at the forefront of this dynamic regulatory issue.
